Adopt a Teacher

About the Project

Adopt a Teacher – Sustaining Learning, Securing the Future Behind every child who learns is a teacher who shows up — often quietly, faithfully, and with little support. At Betharbel Foundation’s Free Elementary School for Internally Displaced Children, our teachers are more than educators. They are mentors, caregivers, counselors, and hope-bearers for children who have experienced loss and instability. Many continue to serve despite limited resources, driven by purpose rather than pay. Adopt a Teacher is an initiative designed to provide monthly support and stipends for our teachers, ensuring stability, motivation, and continuity in the classroom. When a teacher is supported, learning becomes consistent. When learning is consistent, children thrive. By adopting a teacher, you help: Sustain quality education for displaced children Reduce teacher turnover Improve classroom engagement and learning outcomes Honor the dignity and commitment of those shaping young lives This initiative is not charity — it is a partnership. It is an investment in the people who carry the daily weight of education in emergencies. One supported teacher means dozens of children taught with excellence, patience, and care. Adopt a Teacher. Support a Classroom. Secure the Future. Together, let’s stand behind those who stand before our children every day.
